About the church
Bishop Hardy is a life member of the NAACP. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the General Assembly of the Church of God In Christ, the legislative body of the denomination. He also served as one of the commissioners for the last constitutional convention of the national church. In January 2010 the Presiding Bishop and the General Board members unanimously voted to appoint Dr. Hardy to be Bishop Designate, to form the 4th Jurisdiction of Virginia COGIC. The National General Assembly of the Church of God in Christ voted in April to ratify Bishop Hardy’s appointment thereby creating the first new jurisdiction in Virginia since 1967. In November 2010, Dr. Hardy was consecrated as a Bishop at the Church Of God In Christ's National Holy Convocation in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Bishop Hardy has an anointed healing ministry. He has ministered as far away as Aba Nigeria. Bishop Hardy is viewed across Southeastern Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina every Sunday morning at 6 am on station WSKY Channel 4 with a healing word for God's people. The calls come from all over to receive a healing touch from the Lord. Bishop Hardy prays for the sick and afflicted at Sunday morning services at the local church.
